During Manchester United’s Premier League loss to Fulham on Saturday, midfielder Casemiro potentially suffered a concussion, prompting the need for further evaluation.
Casemiro, who had recently returned from a lengthy injury absence, was substituted after 53 minutes due to a collision with Fulham midfielder Harrison Reed.
The Brazilian player underwent thorough on-field medical attention before being accompanied off the field by head of sports medicine Gary O’Driscoll, showing evident discomfort following the incident.

“I don’t know if it’s concussion but it’s definitely head to head,” Erik ten Hag said afterwards.
“I actually don’t know [what’s wrong] but he had to come off.
He had to come off so we have to speak with the doctor, and the medical team, to see how he’s doing.
He couldn’t continue the game. We have all seen that. We had to take him off and, hopefully, he’s better [on Sunday].”
Casemiro’s resurgence in health and performance was a contributing factor to Manchester United‘s four consecutive Premier League victories leading up to the Fulham match.
