TRANSFER GOSSIP

  • Manchester United are finally set to sign Andre Onana today. The Inter Milan shot-stopper has agreed a five-year contract at Old Trafford and has been booked in for a medical.

 

  • Manchester United will also step up their pursuit of Atalanta striker Rasmus Hojlund once they have done with Andre Onana deal.

 

  • Manchester City remain determined to swoop for main defensive target Josko Gvardiol from RB Leipzig but are also casting an eagle eye over Lyon’s highly rated centre-back Abdoulaye Ndiaye.
  • Nottingham Forest have opened discussions with Manchester United over a deal to bring goalkeeper Dean Henderson back to the City Ground.

 

  • Inter Milan are expected to bid about £34.3m for United States striker Folarin Balogun as they explore a deal for the 22-year-old, who Arsenal value at £50m.

 

  • Wolverhampton Wanderers are in talks to sign Switzerland international defender Nico Elvedi, from German club Borussia Monchengladbach.

 

  • Chelsea have entered the race to sign Keisuke Goto. The young Japanese forward, 18, has turned heads with his performances for his country’s Under-20 side and J2 League club Jubilo Iwata.
