Arsenal Weighing up loan bid from Wolves for goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale

Arsenal are currently considering a loan offer from Wolverhampton Wanderers for their England goalkeeper, Aaron Ramsdale.

The proposed deal would see Wolves take on the majority of Ramsdale’s wages, with an option to make the move permanent at the end of the season.

Ramsdale, who has two years left on his contract, lost his starting place to David Raya last summer.

Despite this, he remains a highly sought-after goalkeeper, with Bournemouth also expressing interest in taking him on loan.

However, Bournemouth’s offer does not include a permanent deal, which may make Wolves’ proposal more appealing to Arsenal.

Arsenal’s preference is to sell Ramsdale outright, rather than loan him out.

However, the club may be open to a deal with Wolves due to their own interest in Dan Bentley, the Wolverhampton Wanderers shot-stopper.

Arsenal previously bid for Bentley but was unsuccessful. It remains to be seen if they will revive their interest in the goalkeeper.

Meanwhile, Espanyol’s Joan Garcia is another possible replacement for Ramsdale.

The Spanish goalkeeper has been linked to Arsenal, and his signing could depend on Ramsdale’s fate.

As the transfer window draws to a close, a decision on Ramsdale’s future is expected soon.
