Barcelona took another huge step towards the Liga title as Franck Kessie scored a late winner to sink Real Madrid 2-1 in El Clasico.

Madrid, who led early on, had a late goal ruled out for offside by VAR and were stunned when Kessie netted the winner for Barca.

The hosts had a couple of early chances to take the lead, as Raphinha’s bullet header was well saved by Thibaut Courtois, before Sergio Busquets fired over the bar.

They were then hit by a suckerpunch at the other end though, when Vinicius Jr broke down the left before seeing his cross hit defender Ronald Araujo, who diverted it into his own goal.

That stunned the home crowd, who had only seen their side concede once in 12 previous league outings at Camp Nou this season.

However, Xavi’s side were quick to respond, with Andreas Christensen and Raphinha thwarted by Courtois, before Sergi Roberto fired home the equaliser on the stroke of half-time.

The second half was played at a much slower pace, with chances few and far between as both sides struggled with their final ball.

Robert Lewandowski arguably had the best chance, acrobatically shooting over from close range, before Raphinha had another shot saved.

Carlo Ancelotti threw on a number of attacking substitutions as he looked to find a winner, which he thought he had when Marco Asensio finished from near the penalty spot with less than 10 minutes left.

However, the goal was ruled out for offside after a long VAR check.

And to rub salt into the wounds, Kessie lit up Camp Nou with a late, late winner to extend the lead to 12 points.

Two goals in three minutes, following two Fulham red cards turned the FA Cup quarter-final on its head, sending Manchester United through to the semi-finals.

United were second best for the first 71 minutes and were behind from Aleksandar Mitrovic’s close-range strike five minutes after the break, before the game changed.

Antony sent Jadon Sancho through on goal and he rounded Bernd Leno before having his shot blocked by Willian’s arm which,

after VAR and a dismissal for manager Marco Silva, saw a penalty given and a red card for the Brazilian, before Mitrovic also was sent off for barging into referee Chris Kavanagh.

Bruno Fernandes scored the spot kick and then from the next attack Luke Shaw’s low cross was flicked in by Marcel Sabitzer.

Fulham chased the game but could not find a second, and Bruno capped the win with a late third.

Napoli continue with a dominant performance away to Torino, including a brace of Victor Osimhen headers, Kvicha Kvaratskhelia penalty and Tanguy Ndombele.

In the intervening 20 minutes, the home side were dominant but failed to convert their many good attacking chances into a goal.

Torino also consistently invited pressure with poor giveaways and sloppy passing out from the back.

Shortly after half-time Osimhen rose again to head in Napoli’s third, running onto a perfect cross from Mathias Olivera.

Second-half substitute Tanguy Ndombele made it 4-0 with a smart finish after Osimhen won back possession and found Kvaratskhelia in the box with 20 minutes to play.

Victory takes Napoli 21 points clear of Inter who face Juventus in the Derby d’Italia on Sunday night, while Torino remain ninth.

Arsenal’s make it to eight point clear on top as Bukayo Saka strike twice in 4-1 Premier League win over Crystal Palace at the Emirates Stadium.

Early on, Crystal Palace managed to give Arsenal some problems, with Wilfried Zaha running with the ball on the left flank.

He cut inside to shoot with his right, but his shot clattered the post before bouncing back off of Aaron Ramsdale’s legs and going out for a corner kick.

In the 28th minute, the opener came after Saka clipped a cross into the box for Gabriel Martinelli, who managed to evade Joel Ward and drill a left-footed shot into the bottom-right corner.

Arsenal were well on top after the first goal, and scored their second right on the brink of half-time.

After Granit Xhaka sent a cross across the face of goal, Saka collected the loose ball, and played a one-two with Ben White before curling a shot right into the back of the net.

Ten minutes after the restart, Leandro Trossard played a through ball to put Granit Xhaka in behind the Palace defence and the Swiss managed to find the back of the net under pressure.

Crystal Palace pulled one back in the 63rd minute from a corner.

Jeffrey Schlupp reacted the quickest, chesting the ball down before striking it home from about six yards out.

Saka scored his second in the 74th minute with a first-time shot after Palace failed to clear their lines.

It was the winger’s 12th goal this season, a new career high in the Premier League.

Al Nasr vs Ahba 2-1 Highlights (Download Video)

Cristiano Ronaldo and Al Nassr mounted their latest comeback to keep their title hopes alive as they came from 1-0 down to beat Abha 2-1.

The victory moves them to within a single point of league leaders Al Ittihad with nine matches left to go in the season.

Al Ittihad convincingly won their match earlier in the day by thumping Al Fateh 5-1 on a hat-trick by top scorer Abderrazak Hamdallah.

Al Nassr were shocked by a first-half Abha goal scored by Abdulfattah Adam, who happens to be an Al Nassr product on loan to Abha.

The 28-year-old did well to rip a shot into the top corner, refusing to celebrate out of respect for Al Nassr and the club’s fans.

Al Nassr struggled to mount a response with chaotic attacking sequences, and little flow in their movements.

Their urgency increased after the break, but they needed a long-distance set-piece goal by Ronaldo and a penalty kick converted by Talisca to win.

Ellis Simms came off the bench to hit a last-gasp equaliser and earn struggling Everton a hard-fought 2-2 draw at Chelsea.

Graham Potter’s hosts had bossed the first half but struggled to find a way through with Mateo Kovacic fizzing their best effort inches wide.

Chelsea continued on the front foot after the break and finally took the lead when Joao Felix fired in off the post to net his first goal at Stamford Bridge on 52 minutes.

Everton had rarely threatened but became more adventurous after conceding and once again demonstrated their set-piece prowess when Abdoulaye Doucoure flicked home James Tarkowski’s header from a right-wing corner on 69 minutes.

Chelsea hit straight back, however, and Kai Havertz made it three goals in three games when he coolly fired in from the penalty spot 14 minutes from time.

The visitors looked like suffering another defeat on their travels but substitute Simms earned a share of the spoils in the last minute when he surged in from the left and slotted a low shot beyond Kepa.

The result leaves Chelsea sitting just inside the top half in 10th spot, 11 points off fourth-placed Tottenham with a game in hand.

Everton’s winless away run stretches to 12 league matches but a morale-boosting draw sees them climb to 15th, two points above the drop zone.

Erling Haaland scored his second hat-trick in five days as Manchester City cruised into the FA Cup semi-finals by hammering Championship leaders Burnley at Etihad Stadium.

Haaland followed his five-goal haul against RB Leipzig in the Champions League by claiming another three to take his tally for the season to 42.

The Norwegian is now just two short of the record jointly held by Ruud van Nistelrooy and Mohamed Salah for the most goals for an English top-flight club in all competitions in the Premier League era.

Julian Alvarez added two goals and substitute Cole Palmer also scored on a sobering night for former City skipper Vincent Kompany, whose Burnley side have surged 13 points clear at the top of the Championship.

Burnley did well in the first half but could not match Haaland’s staggering efficiency in front of goal.

City opened up in the second period though, underlining the chasm in class between England’s top two divisions.

It will be City’s sixth semi-final appearance in seven seasons under Pep Guardiola,

and on this form few will argue against them lifting the trophy for only the second time in that period as they retain hopes of completing a Treble-winning campaign.
