Barcelona and Argentina legend Lionel Messi once again won the men’s Ballon d’Or for a record-extending eighth time.
The 36-year-old Messi won ahead of Manchester City forward Erling Haaland and his former PSG teammate Kylian Mbappe.
The Ballon d’Or is voted for by 100 journalists from FIFA’s top 100 nations.
They each pick five players from a 30-man shortlist and all votes are added up via a points system.
