Manchester City eased through to the Champions League semi-finals as a 1-1 draw with Bayern Munich proved more than enough to set up a last-four tie with Real Madrid.
Pep Guardiola‘s side were almost winners in Munich, with Erling Braut Haaland making up for an earlier penalty miss by netting in the 57th minute of the contest, but Joshua Kimmich converted a late spot kick to level the scores on the night.

Bayern caused City plenty of problems early on down the right, with Kinglsey Coman having the beating of Nathan Ake, but it was straight through the middle that their first big chance came.
Jamal Musiala slid a pass through, Leroy Sane was away but his dinked effort rolled wide of the far post.
Kimmich stepped up for the home side to score, firing straight down the middle, with the home team given a glimmer of hope.
Tel was lively and fired over the crossbar with a powerful attempt in the 85th minute,
before Tuchel was sent off after picking up a second yellow card, with the German showing his frustration at the officials.
Mane fired just wide in the latter stages, with Bayern looking for another, but it finished 1-1 on the night, with the English champions progressing to the semi-finals courtesy of a 4-1 aggregate success.
