Trevoh Chalobah Sets For Chelsea Exit

Trevoh Chalobah

Trevoh Chalobah sets to leave Chelsea after the club have decided to sign Monaco captain Axel Disasi.

The 24-year-old has played a key role under Mauricio Pochettino so far in pre-season but believes his opportunities will be limited next season.

Thiago Silva, Levi Colwill and Benoit Badiashile are already ahead of him,

and he wants to play more regular football as he targets a place in the England squad ahead of Euro 2024 next summer.

Chelsea have set an asking price of £45million for Chalobah.

Inter Milan have been interested in Chalobah but it remains to be seen if other clubs will come forward for him.

Chelsea have moved to sign Disasi after Wesley Fofana suffered a serious knee injury that will keep him out for a considerable period of time.

The 25-year-old can play at centre-back and at right-back.

He was part of the France squad at the World Cup last year, making three appearances in Qatar.

Pochettino confirmed he wants to sign a new right-sided centre-back after Chelsea beat Fulham 2-0 in a pre-season friendly,

in Washington on Sunday night, saying:

“With Fofana’s injury, I think it is obvious that maybe we need to reinforce this area. It is clear.”

Chelsea will wrapup their Pre-Season on Thursday morning by facing Borussia Dortmund before welcoming Liverpool at Stanford Bridge for the new season kick off.
