Individual play and at the far post Ian Maatsen closes the scoring to make it 1-0 for Chelsea.
Wrexham came out in response and took the ball away from Chelsea in the closing minutes.
The game has slowed somewhat, but Paul Mullin sets it alight again by running a speedy counter, busting through two defenders before being fouled by Malo Gusto. He’s been bright so far!
Wrexham! The League Two minnows have a great chance, and it comes off a long throw!

Chelsea grab another as the Wrexham defense can’t clear the buildup! It’s created by a wonderful one-two between Carney Chukwumeka and Ian Maatsen, and the latter finishes it off for his brace!
Chelsea’s Casadei is cautioned for a strong sweep from behind.
Goal!.. Raheem Sterling dribbles across the top of the penalty area but is cut off, so he lays off to Connor Gallagher for a low dragged shot to the far post.
The effort doesn’t have a lot of power, but Lainton hesitates and dives very late, and while he gets his fingertips to the ball, he can’t keep it out.
