A postponed clash with Arsenal, which would have pitted the top two against each other in north London, has allowed Guardiola’s men to recuperate after a bruising defeat to Liverpool last week.
The big questions for Guardiola, therefore, are tactical following the loss at Anfield.
Manuel Akanji could continue at right-back or Joao Cancelo may take over on the flank,
allowingAymeric Laporte or Nathan Ake a run on the left side of the defence.
Alternatively, Sergio Gomez could make his first Premier League start.
Jack Grealish and Riyad Mahrez were both unused off the bench in Liverpool with Julian Alvarez the preferred substitute as City chased an equaliser.
Possible Manchester City Line-up:
Ederson;
Cancelo, Dias, Ake, Gomez;
Rodri, Gundogan;
Silva, De Bruyne, Foden;
Haaland.
