A brace from Marcus Rashford and a goal from Jadon Sancho earned Manchester United a 3-0 win against Leicester City as they closed the gap on Manchester City to just three points.
The visitors were very much on top in the first half, with United requiring two top saves from David De Gea to keep the game level, the best of which was a superb reflex save to keep Kelechi Iheanacho‘s header out.
The hosts made Leicester pay for their missed chances by taking the lead after 25 minutes, Bruno Fernandes playing a delightful ball with the outside of his foot into Rashford who fired it past Danny Ward and into the back of the net.

Erik ten Hag‘s side were much better in the second half and they came out on the front foot, looking to extend their lead from the first whistle.
After 56 minutes United doubled their advantage. Fred played in Rashford who was able to calmly slide past Danny Ward.
Just five minutes later United had a third and perhaps the pick of the bunch.
Sancho played the ball into Fernandes who smartly played it back into the path of Sancho in the box to stroke it home first time into the bottom corner.
Ten Hag‘s side didn’t relent and continued to push forward in search of a fourth goal, with Wout Weghorst coming close on a couple of occasions.
The game finished 3-0, seeing United close the gap on crosstown rivals City and move just five points behind league leaders Arsenal.
