La Liga president Javier Tebas has recently expressed optimism regarding Real Madrid’s prospects of securing the signature of Kylian Mbappe from Paris Saint-Germain at the conclusion of the 2023-24 season.
The anticipation surrounding Mbappe’s potential move to Real Madrid has been fueled by the impending expiration of his contract with Paris Saint-Germain at the end of June.
With widespread reports indicating Mbappe’s inclination towards joining Real Madrid on a free transfer, speculation has intensified regarding his future destination.
As the 2023-24 season progresses, all eyes will be on Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain as they navigate the complexities of Mbappe’s potential transfer, with the footballing world eagerly awaiting the resolution of this captivating saga.
Tebas has previously said that Los Blancos had around a 50% chance of signing the France international this summer, but the La Liga president has now claimed that number is growing.
Tebas told transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.
“I said it was around 50% some weeks ago, now is even more… 55/60% chances? Yes, I think so.”
Every day that passes and Mbappe does not sign the new contract with PSG, the percentage increases.”
Mbappe has allegedly not yet communicated to PSG that he wants to leave, and there are still a number of complex issues to be resolved before a switch to Real Madrid can be announced.

The 25-year-old is believed to want a gigantic €50m (£43m) a year to move to Los Blancos, while he is also said to be asking for a signing bonus of €120m (£102.3m).
Mbappe has again been in excellent form for his French club during the 2023-24 campaign, scoring 36 goals and registering thirteen assists in 29 appearances in all competitions.
Tebas said that Real Madrid‘s “excellent financial situation” will put them in a strong position to boost their squad this summer, with Bayern Munich‘s Alphonso Davies also said to be a target.
“Alphonso Davies and more? I don’t know the costs of the Mbappe deal but in any case, Real have an excellent financial situation.
They never did crazy things in recent years,” he added.
Mbappe, Davies and Lille’s Leny Yoro are believed to be the club’s leading summer targets, with the latter’s future currently the subject of speculation.
Yoro, 18, has also been linked with a move to Manchester United, with Lille unlikely to be able to sign him to a new deal, and Real Madrid are said to be determined to win the race for his signature.
The teenager has made 27 appearances at club level this season, including 19 outings in Ligue 1.
