Pep Guardiola never confirm on availability of Erling Haaland’s for the Saturday Manchester city vs  Brentford.

Haaland returned to action last weekend, coming on against Fulham with around half an hour to play and saw one goal disallowed before scoring an injury-time penalty to win the game 2-1.

Asked on Friday if Haaland is fit for the lunchtime kick-off,

Guardiola respond:

“We’ll see, we’ll see. He trains this afternoon, so we’ll see.”

Pushed on if Haaland is feeling any better, “A little bit.”

Elsewhere, Phil Foden is pushing to start in the final run out ahead of the World Cup after being a surprise substitute for three games on the spin.

Foden’s England team-mate Kalvin Phillips is in contention and “ready” to play, but fellow squad member Kyle Walker is “not yet” ready.

Joao Cancelo is available after serving a one-match ban in the Carabao Cup.
