  • Crystal Palace will table a £20m bid for Chelsea and England midfielder Conor Gallagher, 22, in January, after an impressive loan spell at Selhurst Park last season.

 

  • Liverpool wanted to sign Swiss midfielder Denis Zakaria, 25, from Juventus but instead ended up securing Brazilian midfielder Arthur Melo, 26 when Zakaria opted for Chelsea.

 

  • Chelsea are favourites to sign 19-year-old Russian winger Arsen Zakharyan from Dinamo Moscow, ahead of Barcelona and Real Madrid.
