Cristiano Ronaldo ‘Training With Real Madrid’

Cristiano Ronaldo is training with former employers Real Madrid to keep himself fit while he searches for a new club.

Ronaldo was released from his contract last month after conducting an explosive interview with Piers Morgan in which he accused the club and manager Erik ten Hag of a lack of respect.

Former Juventus star reached out to Real Madrid president Florentino Perez to ask

whether he could use the Valdebebas facilities and was warmly welcomed, with Perez telling Ronaldo he is free to train there for as long as he needs.

No current Real players were present at the session, with Ronaldo working alongside his son, Cristiano Jr, instead.

The forward enjoyed a glittering nine-year spell in the Spanish capital from 2009 to 2018,

winning the Champions League on four occasions and breaking all manner of goalscoring records.

Ronaldo denied a move to Al-Nassr was close before Portugal’s World Cup exit at the hands of Morocco and is thought to have returned to Madrid’s Valdebebas training base.

Ronaldo is expected to make a final decision on his future in the coming weeks.
