Arsenal’s Jurrien Timber marks his comeback from an 8-month injury layoff with a stunning goal for the Arsenal U21s in their match against Blackburn Rovers.

Former Ajax star joined Arsenal last summer in a £38.5 million deal, debuting in the Community Shield triumph against Manchester City.

Unfortunately, his Premier League debut against Nottingham Forest in August was cut short after just 50 minutes due to an ACL injury, jeopardizing his entire season.

However, Timber’s dedicated rehabilitation efforts bore fruit as he returned to the pitch on Monday night,

featuring for the Arsenal U21s against Blackburn Rovers.

Given his time away, it would be understandable if the Dutch International took it easy on his return but that would not be the case.

With less than eight minutes played, the 22-year-old was played in on the left-hand side and after twisting and turning his marker curled in a sensational effort from the edge of the box perfectly into the top right corner.

His goal prompted wild celebrations from those in the stadium as well his Timber’s teammates, many of whom were in disbelief of the strike.

Arsenal supporters are eagerly anticipating the inclusion of Jurrien Timber in the first team to bolster the squad for the remaining five games.
