Nigeria Risks Losing Chelsea Target to Spain After Scoring Streak

Samu Emrudion has been in good form since joining former Portuguese champions Porto in the summer. The former Atlético man was initially ready for Chelsea, but the deal fell through in the final stages.

However, the Porto signing has paid off for Emrodion as he has scored four times in his first four matches. His impressive performance earned him a spot in Luis de la Fuente’s squad for the upcoming World Cup.

Born and raised in Spain, Omorodion has risen through the ranks of Spain’s youth team and even qualified for the 2024 Olympics. But this story ends.
In fact, Omorodion may end up moving to Nigeria. According to Football Espania, the 20-year-old will be invited to the Spanish Nations League against Denmark and Serbia. If Omorodion plays any of these games, he cannot travel to Nigeria under FIFA rules. With his talent, the 20-year-old could be a regular player for Spain in the coming years.
