Piers Morgan unveils tactical plan for Arsenal’s title challenge against Manchester City and Liverpool, as the Gunners bounce back with three successive league victories, remaining in contention with league leaders Liverpool.

Morgan said:

“I thought that was the best performance under Arteta against Liverpool on Sunday.”

“It also showed us a few things we need to tweak and sort.

“I’ve come up with a masterplan because I’m sick and tired of Arsenal not having a proper striker.

“I think Arteta has a blind spot about this. He has a ridiculous allegiance to [Kai] Havertz who I just don’t think is good enough. So, here’s my master plan…

“After Sunday, we have to have a midfield that has Jorginho and Rice.

Jorginho is very calm and does his stuff brilliantly but he also brings out the best in Rice.

“Up front, I think Martinelli should pull a Thierry Henry and start playing down the middle with [Bukayo] Saka on the right and [Leandro] Trossard on the left.

“I would bench [Gabriel] Jesus. I would send Havertz back to Chelsea and let’s do that for the rest of the season.”

Arsenal fans have grown frustrated by a lack of goals from central areas with Havertz often filling in for the injured Brazilian.

Both Havertz and Jesus have netted just four times each in the Premier League this season while wide man Martinelli has notched five goals.

A lack of goals has caused concern among the fan base who angled for the club to push for Brentford striker Ivan Toney in January.

However, Financial Fair Play restrictions mean fans may have to wait until the summer to see if Arsenal can land Toney and Morgan believes his makeshift front-three is the next best option.

“Let’s have a proper go at having a striker because at the moment the one weakness in this team is we don’t have anyone down the middle that can finish.”

“Havertz doesn’t want to do it, he’s not good enough, he’s not a proper striker.

I think most Arsenal fans on Sunday would agree that Jorginho got man of the match, Martinelli was the best player on that pitch.”

As Arsenal prepares to take on West Ham this coming Sunday, the match holds immense significance for their pursuit of the title.

A victory would not only secure crucial points but also inject a significant momentum into their title challenge.

However, uncertainty lingers regarding Mikel Arteta’s selection dilemma. Following their remarkable triumph over Liverpool.
